Kofi (Coe-fee) Kyeremeh (Chair-e-may) recently joined our compliance department as a BSA Compliance Consultant. His work experience, education and passion for compliance has allowed him to hit the ground running.

It is no wonder that with his disciplined work ethic, he has already started to make his mark on our current compliance services and is currently developing new programs to better assist our customers in this ever changing industry.

Kofi is an attorney, CAMS certified, and has over 10 years of experience in the development and management of corporate compliance programs. He has thorough knowledge of the regulatory compliance issues faced by financial institutions and can help design programs, policies, procedures, and controls to enable a business comply with applicable regulations and the expectations of federal and state oversight agencies. He is an advocate of compliance programs to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, waste and abuse, and bribery and corruption in the operations of financial institutions.

Prior to joining the Capital Compliance Experts team, he worked as the Executive Director, Operations and Legal, for a non-bank financial institution and as the Policy and Regulatory Specialist for an insurance company. He is a graduate of the Ghana Law School and the McGeorge School of Law.

Kofi not only has a rich work history, but also has an interesting past; he is originally from Ghana. That officially makes him the office expert on Ghana affairs.
